At the radio

I guess I did I good job at the Radio 107,5 party.
Monday morning, on my way to the studio and talking in the phone I hear something in the radio.
I recognized it but I didn't know what it was. I turned it up and they played "Hate To love"!
What a chock!
When we sent "Shame On Me" to them it took more than 3 months to add it on their playlist so we thought last wednesday...ok, let's send it now to them and they might put it on when the release is in the beginning of the year.

Suprise, suprise they added it right away. Thank you guys!
So I was at the radiostation and said a few words on air. Scary...
Did you hear me yesterday?

A milestone...

So expected but yet so unexpected. Soooo much people showed up. Just before midnight they couldn't let more people in.
I rarely get nervous before a gig, but I think I felt it somewhere in my left toe. I was pumped to the max, eager to get on stage.
There where 4 acts before me playing their tracks in 10-15 minutes shows. The crowd was just staring. No feeling, no emotions.
I knew there where a lot of people from the business so I had to stand out. Sure I've been playing for 15 years but this party could take me where I want to go faster.
So, on with the game face and start to show. The mic was my friend this night and together we manage to get the crowd go nuts. It was AWESOME!

Got great response from people after the show. My lovely singers Johanna, Lina and Ante performed "Fascination" and "Shame On Me" live.
On top of that we had the world premiere of my upcoming single "Hate To Love" feat. Evi.

After DJ Spectre had showed his skills alone we started to play around. Spectre and Sayz back2back.

Anyhow I had a blast and hope this leads to bigger stuff.

As ending I have to say that Im really blessed that have so many people around me that have been supporting me all the way.
First off my lovely wife that never complained once that I'm never home, away every single weekend. My dear friends that follow me to the bigger gigs to show support.
Specially a night like this one I felt so much extra love.
The nightclub owner of my homeclub Riddar Jakob was there for me. Even thou he should be working on his club. Support from colleagues/friends, employees of my gym Balance.

Thank you all! With your love and support I will do my best to continue deliver top notch entertainment.

Insane!

The gig with Kate Ryan was CRAAAZZYYY!!!
People where waiting outside the club before opening. It has never happened before.
When I arrived it was mad full inside and such a great vibe all over. People seemed to be extra party.
I just started my set and Kate's manager calls me and says: "Alex can I bring some people? I got this guy Markoolio wanna follow us". (Markoolio is a famous swedish pop act). And that guy is always party.
Markoolio gets on stage when Kate is done and starts to sing a christmas song with the crowd. People got mad crazy.
Anyhow it was sooo fun. Great crowd, great nightclub, great atmosphere. Couldn't wish for more.
Got my loyal supporter travelling 16 hours to get to this event.

Upcoming Alex Sayz release

Got the next single "Hate To Love" back from mastering today. Sounds good!
It is probably my most commercial track and hopefully the last.
But damn what a banger this one is. Don't mind my "performance". The fantastic thing about this track is that Evi, the former singer from Lasgo features on this one.
This is big my friends. She doesen't want to do dance music anymore. And she made an exception because she loved the track.

So the question is...when is the world ready for an official releasedate?

Fun Radio

My friend and nowdays fully member of the TopDJ family, Spectre tipped us of about a dance radiostation called Fun Radio in Malmö, Swedens third biggest city. He called the big boss and told him about Shame On Me. And the guy says: "I've been looking for this track. I heard this on a radiostation in Holland and have been searching for it." Sick coincidence!
So he will add it and the south of Sweden will be a happier plays :)

As I mentioned earlier Stockholms no. 1 dance radiostation, Radio 107,5 is having big event at Café Opera and yours truly will pull of a banging show.
So the radiostation makes a lot of publicity for the event, plus there is a radiocampaign for the upcoming party with Kate Ryan and on that Shame On Me is on their high rotation list.
A friend of mine sits in an office and have 107,5 on daytime. He counted. He heard Alex Sayz 14 times during a day. Thank you!
I wonder what this can generate...

And don't forget to vote for Shame On Me as "the track of the year"

Experimental remix

Suprise suprise this doesen't sound like anything I've ever done.
People must think "this Alex Sayz must be really confused".
Well yes and no. I get bored to to one thing. I need to reinvent myself with every project.
I had though vocals to work with so I wanted to experiment a bit.

Our workspace, called the studio seem to be very popular. It's almost like a youthcenter. People come almost everyday and hang around. I Love it it. It's fun to have people around but we get lot less done.
Today my dear friend and the radio DJ Johan Svengberg came for a visit. And as icing on the cake his colleague from radio 107,5, DJ Spectre dropped by. It's dangerous to let friends with common interests and jobs come for visit. We were talking from the morning til late afternoon.

JOjO Billboard

I don't get Billboard or to be correct the radiostations i USA. I mean don't get me wrong. I'm greatful that I'm still on the chart but it's strange.
Last week Shame On Me was at spot #23 and I was guessing that it had done what it could and it is time for the next release. I'm sooo amazed that the track has been managing to be on the chart for 14 weeks.

What happens this week? S.O.M climbs to #18 again...Wow! Thank you all the radios supporting this track. And I promise, you won't be disappointed with the next one.

Is anyone happening to live in Oskarshamn in southern Sweden? I will be playing at a event called GLOW! at La Scala nightclub. Really looking forward to it.

I don't know... Since I while ago I have no inspiration to write here. Is it ok for me to be honest?
The thing is that I bought an iPhone a couple of days ago and Im sooo hooked. I haven't done anything serious in the studio for several days. Just playing with my new gadget. But I love it.
As I mentioned earlier I love Apple products and they have done it again. The question is why I wated for so long. Shame on me ;)

Anyhow there are some fun gigs closing in. In december I will DJ on an event with Kate Ryan. It will be a blast. I promise you. I'll come back with more info.

The other event is with Radio 107,5 Stockholm. I didn't wanna tell in the last post because everything wasn't set yet. Now you know.
The 11th of december we will party like crazy at Café Opera in Stockholm. Be sure to be there and be sure to vote for Shame On Me as the track of 2009!

Stockholm's only dance radiostation, Radio 107,5, just announced that they're gonna have a huge party at Café Opera in Stockholm. Loads off live acts and tons of partypeople.

Oh my god it was long time ago. So sorry. When you're away for a couple of days and you break the daily routins everything goes to hell. Well not everything but the blogging.

Anyhow Im back safe from Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Dance Event. So much fun to meet all the gigants in the business, experience all the crazy parties and off course breath in the atmosphere of the wonderful city. Red Light District für alle! haha...
If you never been to Amsterdam be sure to visit it at the same time as ADE (if you're in to dance music).

You know when got so much that you feel don't acomplish anything? That's how I feel now. And Im feeling terrible cause I haven't been updating the blog everyday.

Don't get me wrong. I love having plenty to do but It's so crazy before Amsterdam Dance Event.
I have to book meetings with like 500 companies over there, fix my tracks. Get stuff done for our label TopDJ to bring with me. Help Andy Harding finish up his first selftitled single (it's gonna be a massive hit) and do 3 remixes. All of this before this weekend. Do the math.

Help me make a list. What is most important....

Yesterday we had a great meeting at the TopDJ Studios. We had visitors from other cities. No other that the owners of PR Records and Nellie Records. It was a lot of fun.
We have great projects together. Hope everything goes as we plan.

Have been crazy lately. Feel bad for not updating the blog everyday.

Fascination has been out for a while but it's finally on Beatport now!

I can finally reveal a brand new Alex Sayz remix. It's for my friend in UK, Cozi.
"Stamina" is Cozi's (what I know of) first selftitled release.
She's not a newcomer thou. She has been writing for almost every major dance act out there and you might remember her from David Guetta's "Baby When The Light".

Finally a great news from my label TopDJ. Today we finished up a licensing deal. This track is sooo catchy and with several great remixes.

Im prodly presenting TopDJ's next release: Deepside Deejays - Beutiful Day. Releasedate TBA.

Back on roll with my VCM

For several days now I've been trying to get inspiration to do a new mixtape. I don't know why it's so hard this time. I think I put a lot of pressure on my self now when things are going good.

If you've been following my blog for a while you know that I bought a Vestax VCM-600 controller a while ago.
But things has been so crazy the past few months so I have hardly touched it.

Today I was trying to make the mixtape and I thought I might get inspiration if I try my controller. Damn it was fun! I'm considering to make this set a live mixtape. No promises. Let's see what happens.
Right now Im just happy if I can finish it up. Hold your thumbs...

Fascination hit pick in DJ MAG

As you know Fascination was featured on Sied Van Riel's mix compilation "In Riel Time".
The album got reviewed in the biggest DJ magazine, DJ MAG.
"In Riel Time" became the album of the month and Fascination is one of 3 highlights.

The tracks seem to live their own life. It's not like beeing a major artist like David Guetta when all the focus is on one track all around the world.
