Our boss at TopDJ Records made his first video update.

Trapped in the snow

I hate the snow right now. It hasn't been snowing this much in Stockholm for 15 years.
The parkingspots outside the studio was filled with snow and when I tried to get out of the parking my car was stuck.

After about 40 minutes of screaming and hitting two kind guys helped me out.

As the icing of the cake the snow incident destroyed some plastic parts on the car. Thank you!

This crap talk about global warming is bullshit. There is nothing wrong with the climate.
I've been waiting sooo long for the global warning (or Swedish warning). WHERE IS IT???

Hype Jones

Who is Hype Jones? Where are he/they from?

All I know is that it's a massive TopDJ Records release and it comes with a sick remixpack including remixes from Tristan Garner, Gabriel & Castellon, Andy Harding, Alaa and Remy Joel & Xpression.

What a success!

This past saturday was beyond my wildest imaginations. What a success, what a crazy party!

We started off with a photoshoot with all the TopDJ's in a studio. So fun, so unserious gang.

The premiere of TopDJ nights was insane! The nightclub was sold out with an all time high number of visitors.

Spectre, Alex Lamb, Alaa and Andy Harding put an excellent show. People was going mad right from the start.

I had no plans to play "Shame On Me" since it is a little bit to commercial for my set but people demand it so I played it. I have never experienced anything like this. It was like everyone in the crowd was singing and screaming every word of the lyrics.

Thank you the TopDJ bunch, VJ Kenna Grünn, Riddar Jakob nightclub and off course all of our fans.

I hope this video that Alaa made shows what a great time we had.

Hate To Love

Ok so "Hate To Love" was released in USA last week. As it seems the radiostations are starting to add it. I really hope they like it as much as they liked "Shame On Me".

It's so strange...No matter how big a track is in other countries it's always the recognition in your own country that on some strange way counts. Am I right?

Sweden is a very very small country with only 9 million citizens. Still I'm very excited about the release here in Sweden. If everything goes as it's planned it will be released 1th of February here in Scandinavia. I want the peoples reaction! Now!

This is my third single but the first time that one of my tracks entered the Norwegian dance charts. It entered at #8!!!!!

TopDJ nights

This past weekend was better than I expected. In Sweden people get payed the 25th every month.
It's well known that the weekend before payday in January is the worst weekend of the year. NOBODY GOT ANY MONEY TO SPEND!
But it was good, not great but good. I was very hopeful for the gig on Grodan Sergel. It turned out good even thou I had to play a lot of commercial house to keep the crowd happy. Haha well I hope I can visit them again someday soon and show them the real Alex Sayz.

Let's leave the past behind us and look forward.

On this Saturday we have the grand premiere of our own clubconcept TopDJ nights.
It's gonna be craaaaazy! Over 300 guest confirmed already, 1000 maybes plus the 300-400 regular guest that usually show up. On a place that take 600 people.
I really hope we can fill up the place to the max.
We have a great line up with all the fantastic TopDJ DJ's. Alex Lamb, Andy Harding, Spectre, Alaa and off course yours truly will put up a massive show.

If you are somewhere on our planet. Be sure to make it to Stockholm, Sweden this Saturday.

Revenge

In the end of December I was supposed to play att Grodan Sergel. As I'been writing earlier I got mad sick.
This weekend I'm gonna take my revenge. I got a new chance to play at the nightclub. I've been worried for a week now that I might get sick again. That would probably ruin my career.

Anyhow we hope for the best and I will stay healthy the weekend out.

Im so pumped up about this gig. It's gonna be so much fun. I have lots of friends and fans (I hate that word) that are coming to party.

So if you're in Stockholm this weekend, don't forget to drop by Grodan Sergel on Friday.

Lunchtime at the studio

It was a busy day today at the studio. Me, Andy Harding and Alex Lamb got hungry and I offered them to buy the lunch. On one condition... I had to choose their meal. It was a long time ago I had this much fun while eating lunch.
I chose the hottest meal on the meny at the indian reastaurant near the studio.

I just want to wrap up 2009 and thank you.

It's been a crazy year and beyond my expectations. But some how it feels like this was just the beginning.
Im a very restless person. It HAS to be action everyday. Slow days gives me deppression (it's true). It's not anything I'm proud of. It's just who I am. And when I'm in it I don't see what have been going on. So I took my time and thought about 2009. That's why I haven't updated the blog for sometime.

Wow, we managed to acomplish a lot this past year! Things that I never could dream of in my wildest dreams.

- reviewed twice in DJ MAG. Once as part of Sied Van Riel's mix compilation "In Riel Time" and as the "Fascination" single. Both times with excellent comments.

- featured on Tiesto's radio show "Clublife".

Big up for Alaa that brought us the excellent remix that got the release attention in the underground scene.

My label has been growing with the same paste as I have. We released great tracks that got excellent feedback, We've been signing 4 of what I belive is Sweden's future in dancemusic, we've been working with the best writers in the world.

My friends this was 2009 and just the beginning. 2010 will be a fantastic year with lots and lots of great suprises.

Another 20 days without me updating the blog.

Back from the dead...

Saturday daytime I felt something bad was going on. I didn't feel the way I usually do.

I had been pumped up all week because of my gig at Grodan Sergel on this saturday so I was really nervous to get sick.

What happens? Well, yours truly get a massive stomach flu and the travel to hell started at 18:00 (6 pm). This was one of my worst sickness ever. I would rather break a leg or something.

And as icing on the cake I felt sooooo bad because I had to miss out my gig. I was looking forward to this one. I had arranged radio shout outs about the event. The nightclub made lot of advertisment. IM SOOO SORRY!
I hope to get a chance to play at Grodan again. I really like to make up to the promoters and offcourse all the guests. There where several people travelling from other cities just to see me.

At the radio

I guess I did I good job at the Radio 107,5 party.
Monday morning, on my way to the studio and talking in the phone I hear something in the radio.
I recognized it but I didn't know what it was. I turned it up and they played "Hate To love"!
What a chock!
When we sent "Shame On Me" to them it took more than 3 months to add it on their playlist so we thought last wednesday...ok, let's send it now to them and they might put it on when the release is in the beginning of the year.

Suprise, suprise they added it right away. Thank you guys!
So I was at the radiostation and said a few words on air. Scary...
Did you hear me yesterday?

A milestone...

So expected but yet so unexpected. Soooo much people showed up. Just before midnight they couldn't let more people in.
I rarely get nervous before a gig, but I think I felt it somewhere in my left toe. I was pumped to the max, eager to get on stage.
There where 4 acts before me playing their tracks in 10-15 minutes shows. The crowd was just staring. No feeling, no emotions.
I knew there where a lot of people from the business so I had to stand out. Sure I've been playing for 15 years but this party could take me where I want to go faster.
So, on with the game face and start to show. The mic was my friend this night and together we manage to get the crowd go nuts. It was AWESOME!

Got great response from people after the show. My lovely singers Johanna, Lina and Ante performed "Fascination" and "Shame On Me" live.
On top of that we had the world premiere of my upcoming single "Hate To Love" feat. Evi.

After DJ Spectre had showed his skills alone we started to play around. Spectre and Sayz back2back.

Anyhow I had a blast and hope this leads to bigger stuff.

As ending I have to say that Im really blessed that have so many people around me that have been supporting me all the way.
First off my lovely wife that never complained once that I'm never home, away every single weekend. My dear friends that follow me to the bigger gigs to show support.
Specially a night like this one I felt so much extra love.
The nightclub owner of my homeclub Riddar Jakob was there for me. Even thou he should be working on his club. Support from colleagues/friends, employees of my gym Balance.

Thank you all! With your love and support I will do my best to continue deliver top notch entertainment.

Insane!

The gig with Kate Ryan was CRAAAZZYYY!!!
People where waiting outside the club before opening. It has never happened before.
When I arrived it was mad full inside and such a great vibe all over. People seemed to be extra party.
I just started my set and Kate's manager calls me and says: "Alex can I bring some people? I got this guy Markoolio wanna follow us". (Markoolio is a famous swedish pop act). And that guy is always party.
Markoolio gets on stage when Kate is done and starts to sing a christmas song with the crowd. People got mad crazy.
Anyhow it was sooo fun. Great crowd, great nightclub, great atmosphere. Couldn't wish for more.
Got my loyal supporter travelling 16 hours to get to this event.

Upcoming Alex Sayz release

Got the next single "Hate To Love" back from mastering today. Sounds good!
It is probably my most commercial track and hopefully the last.
But damn what a banger this one is. Don't mind my "performance". The fantastic thing about this track is that Evi, the former singer from Lasgo features on this one.
This is big my friends. She doesen't want to do dance music anymore. And she made an exception because she loved the track.

So the question is...when is the world ready for an official releasedate?

Fun Radio

My friend and nowdays fully member of the TopDJ family, Spectre tipped us of about a dance radiostation called Fun Radio in Malmö, Swedens third biggest city. He called the big boss and told him about Shame On Me. And the guy says: "I've been looking for this track. I heard this on a radiostation in Holland and have been searching for it." Sick coincidence!
So he will add it and the south of Sweden will be a happier plays :)

As I mentioned earlier Stockholms no. 1 dance radiostation, Radio 107,5 is having big event at Café Opera and yours truly will pull of a banging show.
So the radiostation makes a lot of publicity for the event, plus there is a radiocampaign for the upcoming party with Kate Ryan and on that Shame On Me is on their high rotation list.
A friend of mine sits in an office and have 107,5 on daytime. He counted. He heard Alex Sayz 14 times during a day. Thank you!
I wonder what this can generate...

And don't forget to vote for Shame On Me as "the track of the year"
